Other Uses for Granite Remnants
Along with the top of the bathroom vanity, granite remnants can also be laid on the floor. Once again, the homeowner should make sure that the subfloor is strong enough to support the weight of the stone, and once again, the stone will need to be sealed to protect against staining. Granite can also be cut into tiles to line the inside of a shower stall. Because granite can come in so many colors, it can be coordinated with the rest of the room's decor, or the room's palette can be arranged to go with the colors of the granite. The challenging thing about granite tiles is that it's difficult to match them up if the remnants are variegated, or come in many different colors.
